All performances are free and everyone is welcome! Performances will be held outside under our tent, with the library’s Melvin Community Meeting Room as our rain back-up location.
July 9th – Set Sail for Adventure with Story Laurie
Story Laurie will lead us on an imaginary journey on the magical sloop “Discovery.” Hop aboard and you may meet a racing weevil named Lightning, a flying sea turtle, a pirate who never learned to swim, and many more colorful characters as we sail the seven seas in pursuit of a true adventure!
July 16th – Mask Making with the Johnson Museum
Join Johnson Museum of Art educators Carol Hockett and Carina D’Urso to learn about masks across cultures and to create your own mask inspired by the museum’s collection!
July 23rd – Lilypad Puppet Theatre
LilySilly returns to UPL, bringing her hilarious and musical puppet show, as well as a puppet making workshop!

July 30th – The REV Theatre Co. presents The Boy Who Cried Wolf
When Jackie and Jamie get caught red-handed in a lie, Grandpa George decides to teach them an important lesson… and he knows the perfect story to do it – his own! Children take on the roles of various villagers as the young shepherd George discovers that it takes dedication, responsibility, and honesty to protect his town’s flock from hungry wolves.

August 6th – Dusty & Dott Live Show
Dusty & Dott from Reading League’s “Reading Buddies” on PBS is coming to town! Don’t miss this interactive live performance with puppetry, improvisation, dancing, and lots of laughs!
August 13th – Animal Adventures with Tanglewood
Meet the turtle, owl, ferret, and quail and learn about their lives at this interactive story time with special guests from Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum.
August 20th – Compost Theatre with Lisa Fernandez
Compost Theatre will dazzle you with skits, songs and dance while you are inspired to be the best composter you can be! Definitely fun for ALL ages….We dare anyone not to smirk, smile or giggle while you learn about nature’s favorite way of recycling.
Though we do our best to plan ahead, events are subject to change during the course of the summer.
