Tick Talk: How to Protect Yourself from Bites this Summer
Thursday, July 11
6PM in the Melvin Room
It’s summertime, and the living is easy. Kids and pets are playing, and the ticks are EVERYWHERE! Join us at the library for a talk with James Burtis, PhD, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases (NEVBD) based in the Department of Entomology at Cornell University. This presentation will focus on learning about ticks and what makes them…well, tick, and what you can do to protect yourself and your family from tick bites. Attendees will receive a free ‘Don’t Get Ticked New York’ tick identification and removal kit.
This program is free and open to all.
