Thursdays, November 1st, 8th, and 27th (Snow Date!)
All lectures will take place at 7pm in the Melvin Community Room of the Ulysses Philomathic Library.
As we gear up for winter, we invite you to join us for an exciting three part lecture series on the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. Learn about the expeditions of Sir Ernest Shackleton, Roald Amundsen, and Jean-Baptiste Charcot- explorers who boldly set forth across our southernmost continent in search of scientific and geographical discoveries.
Louise Adie resides in Trumansburg when she’s not leading kayak tours or serving as a ship historian in Antarctica.
Lectures are free of charge.
