Wishful spring thinking has not yet been successful, so we are closed today because of snow.
It’s Pi(e) day, 3.14, so maybe since you can’t come to the library, you can make or eat or draw or think or read about pie. Or Pi.

Hammerstone Helps Puerto Rico: Informational Presentation
Thursday, February 22
6pm in the Melvin Room
Hammerstone returned from their short reconnaissance visit to Puerto Rico with ambitious visions for collaborating for the long term in the reconstruction efforts. In the short term, they’ve identified a project with immediate impact, repairing the house of a woman who has been displaced since September. They are returning the first week in March to work on this project and others. Come to this short presentation by Maria Klemperer-Johnson to learn more the work Hammerstone plans to do, the equine therapy center that will be hosting them during their work trip, their crew of women builders, and their plans for longer term collaboration and education in Puerto Rico.
Now through the end of March, the library is featuring an exhibit of landscape paintings by Annemiek Haralson. Originally from The Netherlands, Ms. Haralson has lived in Enfield since 1992. She draws inspiration from local hikes, and hopes to convey her love of nature and the beauty around us in her paintings.
The library is closed today, February 7, due to weather. We apologize for any inconvenience.
